We now have Cosponsors in all 50 States!

by Heather on October 8, 2018

We’ve reached a new milestone, and something few bills ever accomplish – cosponsors from all 50 states! This would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of many people.I’m incredibly proud and grateful for your commitment to and passion for this cause!

September was a busy month for us. Fourteen of our advocates spent one to three days each on Capitol Hill and had a total of 81 meetings! A news story from the day Paralympian and National Ski Champion Thomas Walsh joined us can be seen here, and photos can be seen here.

We can’t let up! The list below shows Senate members who are not cosponsoring the LTA yet. If you see one orboth of your Senators on the list please call them this week.

Typical Congressional office hours are 9:00am until 5:00 or 6:00pm EST, and many have after hours voice mail as well. Your calls really do make a difference, so please keep them coming!

Just change the third sentance of the script below to, “I would like for Senator [name] to support this bill and ensure that it is passed into law this year.”

Call Script:
“I am a constituent calling in support of the Lymphedema Treatment Act, Senate bill number S.497. This bill is currently cosponsored by 64 Senators and 376 House members. I would like for Senator [name] to cosponsor this bill bill as well. This issue is important to me because…[2-3 brief sentences].”
