ACTION ALERT: House Announces Reintroduction Plan for the LTA!

by Heather on March 7, 2019

Today, our Congressional champions in the House announced their plans to reintroduce the Lymphedema Treatment Act later this month, and invited their colleagues to join as “original” cosponsors!

The announcement opens with, “In recognition that today, March 6, is World Lymphedema Day, we invite you to join the Lymphedema Treatment Act as an original cosponsor.” It can be read in its entirety here.

An original cosponsor means that a member of Congress’ name is on a bill at the time it is reintroduced, and indicates that he or she feels it is particularly important!

You can help us garner as many original cosponsors as possible by calling your Representative’s office using the number and call script  here.

The deadline for Representatives to join as original cosponsors is March 22nd, so please make your call as soon as possible because it will take some time for each member to decide. Offices typical take calls until 6pm EST and some have after hours voice mail.

Make your voice heard!
