In recognition of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Lymphedema Advocacy Group issued the following press release about the importance of passing the Lymphedema Treatment Act. If you have any contacts in the media, please pass this along.
We’ve also updated the template letter on our Letter to the Editor form to reflect this information, if you would like to send another letter to the papers in your area. This is great way to raise awareness about lymphedema from any cause, as well as our bill. In the last couple of months, constituents like you have had letters published in 22 states! One of our board members also had this op-ed published in the largest paper in her state – COVID Escalating the Need to Pass the Lymphedema Treatment Act. If you are attending the National Lymphedema Network’s virtual conference later this month, please visit us during the virtual exhibit hall time one of the five days of the conference, October 23rd-27th. The conference schedule can be seen here. For more information and to register, please visit the NLN website here. Thank you for helping to increase awareness about lymphedema and support for the Lymphedema Treatment Act! Heather Ferguson |
