We are thrilled to announce that late today the Lymphedema Treatment Act was reintroduced in the Senate by our champions, Senators Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and Todd Young (R-IN)!
Plus, 31 additional Senators (see list below) showed their love for the LTA by joining as Original Cosponsors, meaning that they are listed as cosponsors at the time of introduction and our Senate bill is off to a very strong start!
We will be back in touch early next week with an Action Alert that will include everything you need to contact your Senator or Senators about cosponsoring. We finished the last Congress with 66 Senate cosponsors and want to regain that support as quickly as possible.
Cosponsors do not carry over from one Congress to the next, but typically once an office has cosponsored a bill they will do so again fairly easily. Thank you for your advocacy and please be on the lookout for next week’s Senate Action Alert!
