We have reached another incredible milestone – over 300 House and Senate cosponsors!

With these numbers we’ve also reached our goal of having a super majority (60% or more) level of support in the House, and are more than half way to that benchmark in the Senate!
We set these lofty goals because cosponsors are one of the key factors in determining which bills are eventually passed into law. While there is no magic number, the greater our number of cosponsors the stronger our position. Each additional cosponsor brings us closer to passing the LTA.
Because we especially still need to increase our Senate support, I encourage you to join your state’s advocacy team and work with with fellow advocates to schedule a district meeting at your Senators’ nearest offices. There is no cost tojoin our state teams, and no experience or minimum time commitment required.
