These 86 Congressional Districts Need a Patient Voice

by Heather on February 20, 2021

A couple of weeks ago we asked you to share your lymphedema story, and now, only 86 out of 435 congressional districts lack the important patient perspective that these stories provide! The 86 districts without any submissions are below.

Stories from caregivers, family members, and clinicians are also welcome and equally important. Please consider sharing your story no matter where you live, but especially if you are in one of these 86 districts.

It only takes a few minutes. Several sentences about how your health and quality of life have been negatively impacted due to lack of insurance coverage for your compression supplies, and/or how those things would be improved if they were covered, is the most important part.

These stories are an essential part of our advocacy to pass the Lymphedema Treatment Act. They show members of Congress how their constituents’ lives are impacted, and there is nothing more powerful than that!

Please share your lymphedema story if you have not yet done so. If you can’t remember, simply respond to this email with your name and state and we will let you know. Thank you!
